About Westfield Maid Cooperative

Westfield Maid Cooperative is one of the oldest Concord grape marketing cooperatives headquartered in the Lake Erie Grape Growing Region. We enjoy a rich heritage of hard work, persistence, and great value. This farmer owned organization was founded in 1935 as a fruit and vegetable processing cooperative named The Westfield Planters Cooperative Fruit Products, Inc. Shortly after the conclusion of World War II, in 1946, the cooperative assumed its present name and refocused its mission exclusively to Concord grape marketing. Today, our organization consists of over 70 family owned farms with a total average annual production of more than 10,000 tons of high quality Concord grapes. We are also proud to serve as a New York State Grown and Certified producer of concord grapes (https://certified.ny.gov/about).  The New York State Grown & Certified seal indicates that our New York State member farms have been inspected for safe food handling and environmental stewardship. It also lets consumers know that our grape juice product was grown in New York State.

As we look to the future, it is abundantly clear that continuous growth and change is essential to the long term viability of our cooperative. Due to changing consumer preferences, we understand that we must now take extraordinarily creative measures to sustain our markets and our farm businesses.
